Crew Review: Caneland Central stores, Mackay

With the Caneland Central Retail Excellence Awards for 2012 on this Saturday night, we thought it would be the perfect opportunity to share redhotblue’s own reviews for their favourite store within Caneland Central.

Brent: I love JB Hi-Fi, they have a great range of product, at extremely competitive prices. Their customer service is unlike other stores within the same category/industry. All in all I give them an 8.5/10!!

Amy: QBD – bookshop near Best and Less. Great variety of non-fiction books and an awesome section on true crime. Always lovely people serving and always good bargains!

Jade: Typo! Heaps of interesting, quirky and cute stationery and office accessories – it’s basically retail heaven.

Adam: Game Traders is the worst store in Mackay! With their amazing product range, really great helpful service, and surprisingly low costs, they continue to leave me broke every time I go in there! I swear they cast some kind of spell on their customers.

Bonnie: It has to be Myer – selection, selection, selection!! Awesome kitchen gadgets, the latest fashion and I get points when I shop that gets me more gift cards!! Yeah!

Sascha: JB Hi-Fi, because if you are a geek and have to shop for a geek survival kit, you could buy everything in the same store. Talk about convenience!

Ashlee: Famous Footwear – they have the best shoes but at reasonable prices. And I love it because, well, when in doubt – buy shoes.

Maeve: Being new to the area, I’ve had the chance to ‘discover’ my favourite shops over the last 8 months. Most of my favourite Caneland Central ones are of course clothes shops but the one I have used the most is SES Fashion on the ground floor. It always has great sales, it’s a shop I know I will always find something I will wear and it has lots of cheap and cheerful options!

B2: My favourite store in Caneland Central would have to be Sportsgirl. As a lover of all things fashion, it is great to have one of the largest brands in the world right here in Mackay. The clothes and accessories include the most up to date trends at an affordable price. As a graphic designer, my favourite part about visiting the store is the giant A3 size catalogue that is given out for free in store. It is a beautifully designed catalogue that I look forward to grabbing whenever I visit (which is often).

Jody: Cotton On Kids, I love the creative layout of the store itself and they always have quirky, fashionable garments for children. My girls think their dressing room is the bomb! I even did a mini photo shoot in there with them on my iPhone, taking photos of them all dressed up against the decorative walls and curtains – they loved it.
