Crew Review – Mackay City Centre

12/12/14

With the Christmas season fast upon us, the redhotblue office took a moment to share their favourite places to visit in Mackay City Centre from the best shopping to favourite treats. There were even a few wishes as to what they would like to see be introduced into the City Centre.

Kelsey – Treating myself with pretty nails at Glamarella located in the NAB Square. I have also done a spot of Christmas shopping at Chemist Warehouse from their range of perfumes and Let The Children Play for some classic toys for my nephews.

Scott – I really like Crave frozen yogurt. The flavours and ‘help yourself’ serving system makes it a really easy and quick way to get something cooling and tasty in the heat.. but I ALWAYS end up over indulging and loading up on as many flavours as I can squeeze into the tub!!..and then of course you HAVE to load up on the topping options!!! Plus the team are really friendly and helpful and up for a laugh. I’d really like to see a Boost Juice shop in the City Centre.. I love Boost’s and while the one in Caneland Central is great – you can never have enough Boosts in my opinion, and having one even closer to work would be awesome!!

Maeve – My new favourite nail salon is Just Gel Me on Wood Street; she does very cute Christmas Nail Art. Also Urban Wave has got lovely stuff with a great price range, perfect for Christmas shopping.

Taryn – My favourite place in the City is definitely Gelatissimo. You can go to Gelatissimo at any time of day with friends, family and work colleagues and still enjoy it. From the chocolate flavours to the different sorbets, there is definitely something for everyone.  And the best part is you can add melted Nutella on anything. YUM!! Gelatissimo is definitely a place for everyone which is why I love it so much! Working so close to Gelatissimo is very dangerous as we like to have it too often.

Kate – Aside from the extensive range of restaurants and cafes I love eating out at, the places I like to visit for Christmas shopping includes Peyton’s Place for adorable children’s clothes as well as Juannas for pretty homeware items.

So whether it is last minute Christmas shopping or a get-together with friends and family be sure to check out the wide range of businesses within Mackay City Centre.
